if you dont know me my name is brent and this is my story.
started out about 4 years ago. dad got me this corolla. not a bad piece of machinery. had 131k, steelies, no foglights and looked like a grandma's car. at least it was manual. soon as the car got home wheels got put on it. took care of foglights the next day.(more recent shot)

Few weeks goes by and i decide the silence is to much so i buy a intake from Weapon-R. not the best design but i didnt/dont care.

that sufficed until i started going to U.T.I and felt lacking in the mod department. Went to a school sponsored trackday ran a 17.22. also my first time at the track. at 163k miles

So halfway through this year i started dropping some coin into my car starting with my faux jap plate which is some like others dont.

Got an exhaust

Strut bar and Oil cap from TRD

and the last mod: a plastic Intake Manifold W/ bigger throttle body and intake

as far as performance bolt-ons go, i just wish there were more for these cars. currently 181K miles

Update 1: this dyno was Intake/Exhaust and 173k miles. car continues to impress. expected way lower. (also i find turn your head slightly makes the lines more visible)

Are a drop in the future plans? Nice start, yea i feel you on the low/no mods choices. When I had my Outback i wanted to do things to it but there was nothing available so i understand haha

That's an impreza outback sport, I had Subaru Outback wagon. Yea subaru did real good with names

not doing the drop. roads get to bad. i like the sleeper look if a corolla can have that

For a car thats supposed to be comparable to a civic the aftermarket support for the two vastly differs.

Yea civics have so many parts for cheap, corollas.. not so much. I hear you on the bad roads. I'm only lowerd just over an inch and i still scrape my lip way too much, crappy roads.

I have a crack in my front bumper and my muffler has a dent in it from driveways at stock height.

bump for some progress. got a dyno date lined up for next thursday and i wanna know some opinions on what i might put down.
currently sitting at: 182k miles and bolt-ons (I/E/IM/TB).
put down 120hp and about 121tq before. (sheet shows where the lines meet)

My GF use to have one of these exactly like this but auto. Surprising as it sounds i loved driving that thing so for a stick to make 117whp i wouldn't mind beating it around.

with almost 185k miles on the clock i still do

it would've made more power with a newer motor and a tune. 125-130ish whp is what its setup for.

A Little Update:

Car is eating spark plugs for dinner. The engine had a slight stumble every once in a while so i figure pull the plugs out and see whats up. this is what i found
