NJ 39:3-4 question

From reading your other post I know you guys are not court officers but maybe you can clear some things up for me if you would like. About a month ago I got into a fender bender with my car. Needless to say I was not issued any tickets at that time or in the mail after that. My registration, insurance and license is and was up to date at the time. But yet today I got a court summons for 39:3-4 unregistered vehicle on 4/4 for a ticket I never received. Now I know I have to call during business hours to see what is going on. Is this commonly mixed up with other people or is this a ticket i can get without even knowing because I am still trying to figure this out?

Thanks in advance
