I have seen them a few times in this past year.

One on a slammed GTI and another on a slammed SC300.

What do those tags represent? They look like little price tags hanging off the rear bumper or muffler.

I've seen a bunch of different things. One of the most popular is air fresheners but anything you can hang from your rear tow bar is what they like to put on there. Pretty gay if you ask me.

It's just something people use to add a little personal touch to their car. I hang a little panda bear from my Tib. Is it a fad? Sure. But so is the godawful rusty body panel thing on Vdub, at least I can always just cut mine off...lol

*raises hand* I remember my uncle putting stuff like that on his semi back in the day. This was in fact a late 80's fad. Same goes for the huge broadway mirrors that people thought were "JDM" when in fact many owners from the 80's used to put them on their cars. It seems like fads continue to go in a cycle. Hopefully it skips over the fad where Motegi wheels, underbody neons & vinyls were cool.

Back in the day before the fast an furious tint, systems, neons and maybe some sort of universal muffler were cool. A "tuner" was hard to come by. Motegi wheels were never cool. I remember focals being hot **** but I thought they sucked

I've never been into any of the "style fads" that have reared their ugly heads over the years, nor do I really hate them. What I do hate is people who poorly execute fads and ruin a style by bastardizing it and "playing it out" because they can't execute something original and clever themselves.

I remember very early on rocking the Young magazine (rally pig) on my mirrors. When I started to see everyone with subarus rocking them they came right off my car. Lol. I try not to follow trendy things.
