aftermarket coolant gauge

So on my cobalt I have a heat exchanger with its own cooling system, lines, pump, etc. Does anyone have any idea how to install an aftermarket cooling gauge to measure the temperature of the coolant? Either a mechanical or aftermarket one would be fine. I'm just not sure how to put this in

Tap into the heat exchanger with a bung for the coolant probe. How big are the lines? You can get also get hose adapter. I have an Autometer water temp gauge I want to get rid of...

No, electrical. You find a way to get this sensor into your coolant be it jb weld, or an adapter.
