HERE IS VIDEO I TOOK OF ONE OF MY AUTO X RUNS THIS PAST WEEKEND IN MY 92 CIVIC HATCHBACK. I RAN A 90.349...I THINK I COULD HAVE GOT IN THE MID 80'S IF I DIDNT SLIDE OUT AND PUSHED IT A BIT FASTER. I LIKED THE COURSE ALOT BUT IT WAS KINDA CONFUSING IN SOME PARTS...ESPECIALLY AT THE END.

My camera died on me, so no video from the event. Watching yours, you need to work on your line a bit. There were areas where you were off the cones and needed to be much closer. In the areas where you should have been off/wide on the cones (eg setting up for the two lot cross overs) you were driving cone to cone. Mid eighties were definitely possible for you. That course was a blast and definitely had some tricky spots that required knowing where you need to be and where to look. The biggest example of that is the last right hand corner before the finish. Most folks were so caught up in working through the offsets they forgot to look right to find the next gate... leaving them braking past the last offset and blowing that corner way wide.

superg, in your defense some some parts were confusing but you still could of knocked a few seconds off. I couldn't see enough gates, pointer cones or any chalk to help aid drivers. Looks like you guys ran out of cones at the end or didn't use a lot of cone or chalk to make more difficult??

Philly region's course was obviously very open and fast, which I would of loved to of ran in my Cobra..

We setup fast tight 60+ sec courses but it is far more easier to find your way around than that one in superg's vid.

Example from this weekend:

yeah no chalk and they did run out of cones...it was the longest course i ever ran. it was super fun. it makes me want to get better suspension for the civic now. im only running skunk2 sleeves on stock shocks. but i have a pretty good tire set up, fresh azenis on low offset wheels, 7inch wide. i had to roll my rear quarter fenders to fit them.

Yeah, course walks are key. I only got in two while working tech. I usually like at least three, especially on a course that long. While walking, you should try to pick out where you will be looking when entering each section of the course. That will help you know where to place the car, rather than driving to the next gate and then looking up to find the course. Glad you made it out and will be coming out again! Definitely get to warminster early enough to walk a few times Also, no bikes on course... not supposed to travel on wheels through the course before your competition runs. Plus you'd have to pack it and bring it along
