I'm actually looking for editors and shooters. FCP editors and DSLR capable shooters (ie able to shoot steady, in-focus video at fast f-stops).

Absolutely fantastic job. If I wasn't a full time mechanic. I would be so involved in this field of work. Love the clarity, feel, and crisp audio.

Hey Bubba, what type of stabilizer are you using?

And would these shooters be able to do this part time?! As in a teacher who has a 7d and can shoot decent footage working occasional weekends?!

Shoot will only ever be considered part-time as I typically only have shoots Saturday + Sunday (and and occasional Friday). My wife works in a school and is able to assist on 99% of my shoots. However we are expanding and would like to be able to book more than a single event on any given calendar day.

Regarding your question about the stabilizer- two were used. Most of the shots you are noticing are with the Glidecam 4000 HD.

There was one slider shot in there- the low one in the sand about mid-way through. That was done with a Cinevate Atlas 30.

Wow, you've just given me a lot more hope for getting into video with my 7d. That video was extremely well put together.

Thank you. Well- yeah if you START out with the 7D you are ahead of the game. It's much more challenging than a typical "pro" video camera. No OIS, no autofocus, 12 minute limit on files, etc etc. Best of luck- if you ever need any tips/help let me know.
