WRX for a G35

Im trying to find out if anybody on here traded their 06 WRX for a G35 at Davis Acura. Just trying to get some information on it. My friend Twinz just bought it on Friday. So he just wants to try and get the full history of the car. So seeing how its a local car, especially a WRX haha. I figured I would check to see if it was anybody on here. Or maybe somebody on here knows of the car? He knows it has couple of mods done to it

06 Crystal Gray Metallic WRX. Wingless and Debadged
Invidia downpipe
HKS exhaust... not sure which
Perrin FMIC with Perrin piping
Perrin catch can
Boost/Oil Pressure/AEM Wideband gauges
Turbo Timer
HID headlights
Lip kit

Buying a modded car never a good idea! Gurantee the last owner beat the living **** out of it before he traded it in as well as the techs at acura.

I agree. Buying modded cars is always risky business. He may want to bring it to a Subby expert so they can look over it.

Yeah usually buying a car with mods isn't a great idea, but I wasn't asking that. And the car has an exhaust and FMIC. Not exactly the biggest power mods. It's as close to stock power as you can get. With only 35,000 miles over 4 years. And it's not like he is some dumb kid buying his first car. He knows his stuff. Before he traded it for his Lexus, he had 500hp 300zx with a 2nd gen GSX as his beater. So he's not worried. Just trying to find out if the car belonged to a member.

Yea thanks mike and to the guys talking about buying modded cars, it has 35k and runs mint..the body and interior are pretty much flawless the car was taken care of and the previous owner was in his mid-late 30's is what i was told also the car was only on the acura lot for 2 weeks before i bought it so im not woried about it that much also the few mods it has were all top name stuff and either professionally installed or done by someone who knew their stuff..how many peoples cars on this site are modded? It must mean they are all beat to **** right..?

With those mods the only thing i could see being an issue is the trans if he kicked the **** out of it. subarus are otherwise solid cars.

i drove the car he bought as did my buddy. The trans is beat to hell and the car needs a tune bad. The car breaks up under boost. Car seemed clean but def had its balls squeezed daily.

interesting since it idles perfect, wide band stays in 14's under idle where it should be, trans shifts like new - no grinds, missed gears ect and it spools straight to redline without breaking up...i wouldnt buy a car that breaks up under boost or has trans issues..also i have the car fax which shows the date the dealer got the car as a trade in, and i drive past davis 5 days a week and i saw the car there the day it was put on the lot AND i have a friend that works at davis..it was maybe 3 weeks ago the first day it was put on..

im hoping your e-penis deciced to grow and you just wanted to talk some **** on the internet and say the car doesnt run good and you or your buddy didnt actually drive the car because it seems apparent that neither of you know how to drive if you did in fact drive the car and think it has trans and/or boost issues..

only boost issue i have with it is that its only running 10psi and i need to get me a vf39 so i can safely up it

just an FYI I have driven more wrx's in the last year than your smaller "e-penis" has gotten hard to in your lifetime. I wasn't tryin to knock the car was just saying it needed a few things. I can offhand tell you about 1/2 the cars from memory that are sittin in front of Davis as I have been there countless times in the last 2 months driving numerous cars. ( including ur perfect shifting wrx) we mentioned to the salesman that the car needed to be tuned desperately and the trans needed fluid ASAP. I'm sure the car runs awesome at 10 but when it was sitting at 13-14 when I drove it, the car broke up. Get over yourself I was just lending some advise. It's a shame you acted like your 12 as I can get subbie parts at close to cost and have a mint vf-39 that I could have thrown your way for next to nothing. Have an awesome day

Im just saying a friend asks a question about a car and it turns into everyone and their mom saying "dont buy a modded car blah blah" a lot of people like to just talk... to me the car runs fine, i took it around today boosting it in different gears and shifting at higher and lower rpms still never had any problems maybe it was low on fluid and they put more on if it wad having problems, im saying for me driving it its shifting as good as brand new cars ive driven..also i figured out how to work the boost controller today took me a little since its completely different than the hks i had on my z but i have it set at 13 now which is the highest i want to bring it to on this turbo

i hear you. I bought a modded sti 3 weeks ago man so I have nothing against it. You just took what I was saying the wrong way. The rex u picked up is f'n clean as hell and aside from the fact the boost was turned up too high when we drove it. (The e-boost controller right in front of the shifter was reading around 14.5-15 ) and the car not really going into reverse(prolly cus of low tranny fluid) the car is great. Considering I made an offer on it I must have liked it right? Every wrx you find is modded at least a little, but they are reliable as hell and can take a beating. Sorry if I came off the wrong way, never meant anything bad against your new ride man. Good luck with it

I wonder if your buddy got a warranty, and if they cover the modded car that it was sold on.
