Obama addresses the GOP

I'm kinda shocked that this hasn't threaded considering how "fair and balanced" and "Truth feeding" our fellow Tri state FOX'ies are. Naturally FOX news cut into the live feed with their comments to coach it's viewers away from logic and the obvious truth that Obama IS trying to get this Country on its feet.

-Obama calls for Bi-partisanship rather then Politics as usual.

State of the Union address
http://www.whitehouse.gov/photos-and...-union-address

GOP address
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1-jasxb7NY

Be happy people, You have a President that actually gives a sh** about this Country more then ruling the world and making millions for millionaires!!

I urge you to look at Obama's budget proposal.

I don't know how to say this nicely, but seriously, pull your head out of your ass. This isn't a "FOX vs MSNBC" thing, it's not a "GOP vs DNC" thing, and it's not an "us vs them" thing.

The GOP has had health care proposals since day one. They weren't looked at, so obviously they weren't considered. GOP has had budget proposals for the past 6 months. They weren't looked at, so obviously they weren't considered.

If you can't hear Obama's lies throughout his State of the Union address AND the GOP address, I can't help you. Nobody can. I watched both on CNN BTW, all content that was aired, so not sure what clipping was done by fox, but I'm sure it still contained the same loads of BS that every other channel had Obama spewing. I don't think it's possible to make it any worse than the reality of the situation. You can call a dog a duck all day long, but at the end of the day, it's still a dog.

I really urge you to watch them in full, both the State of the Union, and the GOP address. It was lie after lie followed by the same old hypocritical BS.

As opposed to you "Obamabots"? You BLINDLY follow everything this guy says, despite you supporting him for exact opposite stances just a year ago.

It's sad, no, it's pathetic.

I don't know how ****ing stupid you can be. If you can't tell it's the same ole same ole in DC, well, you are truly a lost cause.

Now I'm sure you will come back saying that I'm a typical "Right wing nut job" blah blah blah, I will post every part of the speech possible that fully supports my statement, and your response will be, "Right wing nut job" blah blab blah.

You obviously didn't watch either the State of the Union Address, or the GOP address, you haven't been following ANYTHING that has been going on for the past year, or you simply just don't have a clue. So it's really not worth it to drag this out any more.

I Love how you think I didn't watch the entire State of the Union AND the GOP address. You don't have to worry about me, I WONT start a thread based on bits and pieces fed to me by media (i.e sign this petition stopping a bill I didn't read)

What makes this a FOX issue is they feed their viewers BS into getting crazy about bringing Obama down. Their plan is simple, Make the Democrat President look awful using their freedom to lie (I mean freedom of speech) to secure a seat in the office in 2012. This is the only thing Righties have focused on this last year (themselves, as usual) and Obama called them out on it.

What Obama did with the GOP address took some serious BALLS and he did an awesome job IMO. You mentioned that its the "same ol Washington" when the whole GOP address was Obama trying to put that BS to an end?

Also try to be civil with your responses. No need for the "head up your a**'es" because we don't see your way or have training in being able to tell if someone's lying.. (where were you trained?)

He is making Bush's failed economic policies look like child's play. When are you (and everyone else in this country) going to pull your head out of your ass and realize that government( REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS) is the problem. Government installed all of the obstacles that created our financial woes, Americans were stupid enough to buy into it, and now those same stupid Americans are looking at the problem creators to be the problem solvers. Get a freakin clue.

You people are all retarded and this thread will go on for about 150 posts and get nothing done as usual.

Thats why anyone that tries to convince anyone online about politics is insane. Keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result; Im sure you heard the definition before.

Just sayin haha

And as I understand it, the government didn't put any constraints on the economic market construct, and forgot to factor in greed and panic. Word. There can be a happy medium between Friedman and Keynes, we just need to find it. I think Obama has a better chance than McCain did. Period.

Although I do agree that talking politics is retarded I felt the need to give everyone here the opportunity to see what Obama had to say rather then what the righties on this site feed them. With your last statement I couldn't agree more!!! A happy medium needs to be found and regulations need to be set in this capitalistic world we live in. Obama was and IS clearly the man for the job and why I voted for him.

Oh god, not politics again lol....

Now thats a load of crap right out of the donkeys mouth. He said the same thing about being Bi-partisan with the healtcare bill & shut the GOP out, including all of America. And this is coming from the guy who promised health care negotiations would take place in the open, and even be broadcast on C-SPAN; a promise that he has not fulfilled.

So you actually believe him when he says this after he lied the 1st time?

Mike!!! whats up man?

I do agree that government is the problem but unfortunately there's no getting rid of them. Life would of course be grand if all's we had to do is find a piece of land, build a home, farm our own food, etc. all without being bothered by the man. Unfortunately, with how things turned out I feel things need to be governed (not communism or socialism) but regulated in a proper / ethical matter and I feel strongly that Obama is the man for the job (or at least the lessor of the 2 evil's we were presented). In other words I wont be getting an Obama tattoo anytime soon but I have faith he is trying to do the right thing for the masses.

Capitalism has led to this Country being controlled by big business both politically and financially. Everything from Business owners paying very low wages making millions themselves (like in China) to big banks playing monopoly with our money. I'm all for capitalism in general, but It NEEDS to be regulated and I think your taking it to an extreme with saying that could mean socialism / communism. The communism / socialist seed that has been planted by right wingers has only stalled this Country from getting back on its feet.

Capitalism DID fail, Greed succeeded, and very well. You can't keep everything the same and just ask "greed" to start thinking about the economy because it don't give a f**k, its rich. The ONLY way you can go about it is by regulating what can and can't done within this capitalistic Country we live in.

im not reading all the responses here because i dont have the time or patience. i would just like to state my current opinions.

- obama is not the only one to blame, the rest of the US government has more control than one single man
- nothing useful is getting done to fix the problems within our own country
- hack the planet

I'm gonna sit on the sidelines for a little bit for this one.

Yes Poolmike you are correct, however if we had no Gov't we would be hijacking ships off the Jersey shore and selling them for ransom.

Again, just because we disagree with your ideological thought process does not mean we are crazy right wingers.. It just means we see the world through different colored goggles. But I know many will ignore that fact and throw out the race(political affiliation) card again in this thread and others.

But my crew and I would have the freedom to blow the heads off anyone trying to hijack my vessel or cargo. Tough, but problem solved

Remember its the same capitalism that has allowed you and I to enjoy the quality of life we presently have. Greed has always been around since the beginning of time. Humans are opportunistic by nature, and have always been robbing others. Kind of like our government, we gave them the opportunity to take care of us and they **** on us. But like blind lemons we jumped off the same cliff and voted 99% of the morons back in because we were bamboozled by CHANGE.

Nobody gave **** about the government until it affected them. Way to go you selfish spoiled rotten ego-maniacal bitches. These will be the same people that go back to their own me me me world after we get out of this mess.

I repeat 2012 can not come soon enough, we need a reset button. /unsubscribe

You do realize we haven't had a "free market" (the basis of capitalism) for a long time, right? Government intervention does not equate to free market capitalism.

Also, the budget...

You do realize he has lines in the proposed budget, counting funds for laws/bills that HAVE NOT PASSED YET?

That's retarded. That's like you or I planning out our budget, and adding in buying a Porsche 911 with the $50,000 raise you are "getting" next year. MAKES NO ****ING SENSE.

O'Bama is flat out breaking the law. Period.

He said he was going to do one thing, then he's like oh yeah well lets do this real quick and sugar coats it with promises of jobs.

If he wants to fix the economy he will stop being Bush to the nth degree and pay off the flippin debt.

More government is never the answer. Individual responsibility and accountability.
