Rocker arms were not done...I had told the machine shop about it and they also looked at the directions that came with the lifters and they said they checked all the clearence's multiple times and that if I had gone a cam size bigger I would of needed to have them machine. Could that be making the noise??? The machine shop guaruntees their work, So Idk if I should just go with it and see what happens or what.....

well yank the valve cover to check your valve clearances and at that time check the rockers to see if there is any marks and that will let ya know. Im sure they rolled the motor to check, but after you get a motor broken in and get a few heat cycles in it, things move and valves seat...so its always good to recheck things...

Yea worked on her all day today she quieted down...drove her on the dyno lift and as we were backing it on heard a LOUD "death tick" turned it off pulled the valve cover........turned the key to see what the noise was and the Fu**in intake cam gear bolt backed out!! Thought all the intake valves were bent. Did a leak down test re-timed everything tightned everything under the cover down and put new oil in and she sounds awesome!!

What cams are you running? I'v never heard of anyone running solid lifters without machining the rockers.

BC 272's I haven't either but I ran the motor for a while and checked for any wear on the rocker arms and there isn't any. I am just gonna keep my eye on them till I am 100% sure.
