amp/subwoofer issue

okay i need any suggestions b/c this has got me scratching my head. when i turn on my car my sub turns on and keeps hitting even when i pause the song. the amp i have displays when it's putting out power but it's not lighting up when it hits however it does light up to know it's on. now here's the weird part i have a bass knob and when i turn it up all the way the subwoofer starts hitting hard however it's constant not with the beat. i check the fuses on the amp they are fine i checked the connections on the sub even the back of the h/u connections does anyone know what is could possibly be?

Something is crossed in your amp, You're getting a direct 12v feed into your subs for some reason.

Either your amp is ****ed up, or you messed up your wiring. Check your wiring first.

Could be picking up a ground noise also, it happens if there is alot of it. Could be your amp over heating if your bass keeps missing notes

Pull the RCA interconects off the input of the amplifier, it the problem still exists ITS the amplifier. This would not be a wireing problem, Its the amplifier itself. What brand is the amp anyways?
