Worst Semester of my Life

After last semester ended I went and fill out my renewal for my student aid for the next semester to come. I keep getting emails stating that my fafsa is incomplete up until the end of july which i found out that their telling me my parents made too much money bull crap. I applied for a student loan and everything was approved.....loan was disbursed which I then confirm my registration and now can relax. Note that when this was done it was August 28. I'm trying to study for my test as we speak up until my sidekick received a new message from the collegeloan.com.....

This states "Based upon an unforeseen disruption in our ability to fund loans, we regret to inform you that we cannot approve your request."

So basically at this point I'm in a state panic and so i go and check my tuition and the loan is gone. The school sent me an email to my school email stating I have two weeks to pay this off or my semester will be dropped. After finally thinking I can sleep an ease from getting a loan now I can't even focus on studying for my test tomorrow.

Btw I even called the collegeloan place like 5 minutes ago and the rep explain to me that it has nothing to do with my credit or anything but it's their company partner that decided to discontinue the loan program this year as of right now. Basically anyone that was approved for the loan were all taken away. How can a loan place do that to thousands of people who were approved and all of a sudden decides to discontinue a loan when school already started.....

PS: I apologize if any of this doesn't make any sense or grammar is horrible whatever.....i'm just ranting right now and I decided to just go to sleep and study in a few hours to let my mind clear up.

The financial markets were rocked today, a culmination of the last few weeks with Lehman Brothers filing bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch being absolved by BoA. Maybe it's possible that the company just lost a large portion of their assets? Who knows with the way things have been going this year...

I'm struggling like crazy right now......I live by myself and money is so tight I can barely put food on the table. Not to mention I gotta look for another job cause apparently I'm laid off at my dealership until further notice.

The thought of moving back home to my parents in houston, texas ran through my mind so many times.

Welcome to my world. I took the semester off to make money to pay for my last semester. I had 1 loan dropped along with financial aid.

The credit crisis is upon us. Finding private loans (and even some Stafford loans) is going to be getting harder and harder until we get out of this mess.

On the other hand you should be grateful...Saddam Hussien is no longer in power in Iraq.

On a serious note, go to your Financial Aid/Business office right away and find out what your options are. They should be able to put a hold on your drop until you figure this out.

Good Luck, I hope you don't have to drop out.

Damn that sucks it keeps getting harder and harder to find places giving out student loans because with the economy they way it is a lot of banks are not investing in loan programs like this for college....Its like the world in which we live in now so competitive that college education is in most cases a must and these banks wont give us loans to pay for college, i dont know how they expect us to go to college if we cant pay for it..... I hear ya man i know a lot of people that are in the same boat as you and its tough......And the whole goverment aid is bull crap i come from a middle class background and dont see a dime of Govermant Aid its like your parents cant work at all if you want to see a penny of that

Edit: Where you tuned by turbo tek because im just waiting for a break in school to get tuned by Ray to 9lbs, how much boost you running? If i recall you have the Turbonectics kit? are you using another EMS or still the Unichip? We live close to eachother we should def meet up some time i

its not the war in iraq that caused this soon to be credit crisis. its the fact that banks gave out loans to pretty much anyone to buy homes. the economy runs in cycles where there is loose regulation and the economy is booming then it starts to collapse and then there is tight regulation. there has to be a goldielox approach where its not too hot or too cold meaning just the right amount of regulations.

next semester i was tryin to go back away to school instead of bucks but now i dont think i can since i probably wont be able to get a student loan. hopefully i can somehow convince my rents to pay for it which i doubt will happen.

good luck to anyone tho who is tryin to go thru school and pay for it on their own.

Not saying it was a cause, but it certainly distracted our attention from the financial matters at home and it sure would be nice to have some of that money back to be able to offer some emergency loans for students who can't afford college.

they need to help people with housing first. a ton of people will end up losing their houses since the lending companies are going bye-bye.

hmm that sucks... i know this isnt what you want to do but if you're forced, could you take a couple classes that would transfer at a community college and just try to work some more this semester? that way you're at least moving forward, although slower than you planned.
