98 audi a6 overheating

like it says i got a 98 audi a6 overheating and i noticed the electric fan is not kicking on no matter how hot this baby gets, is there any common problems with these cars with there rad fans not working.

Specific problem for the A6 , I'm not sure.
But it wouldn't be the first time I've heard of a faulty fan relay switch for an Audi.
I would start there and then go down the line, ie. no current, bad fan motor, etc.

the fans not coming on is def why its overheating..put power and ground to the fan see if it comes on..and see if the horn relay is the same for the fans ., if so switch them. also put your a/c on and see if just one fan comes on...do you have a multimeter?.
