Only because I really don't need another build thread...

Been looking forever. Finally found one.

One owner, clean carfax, 110K miles, minty fresh.

2007 Scooby Forester Sport XT

Car and driver loved it, and so do I:

I'll get proper pictures tomorrow. For now:

Plans:

Drive and put gas in.

Agreed. If you need a hand with timing the Forester or anything, I might be able to swing down and lend a hand. The Fozzys need a photoshoot.

I only bought it to leave it stock and drive it! Aesthetic mods are a possibility, but I'm definitely going to hold off on modifying the motor.

What blew me away was how different they make the 5sp Sport XT Forester. Forged pistons, HD rods, Mitsu turbo, 50/50 viscous coupling transfer case, front end, etc. I had no idea they were in such high demand.

Nice! I work down the street from Seldon. I was waiting to see when someone would scoop it up.

They have a badass fleet of cars. They knew what they had, though. I had to get crafty to work the price down.

I tore into the Fozzy a bit more this weekend. Thankfully I checked the belt out as soon as I did. It was very obviously just recently replaced with an OEM belt and WP, however, they didn't properly clearance the belt guide, so it was eating the belt. I redid everything just for peace of mind, including all pulleys, WP, etc.

All done! I really need to find an STI TMIC or something, these fins are smashed. Also mildly annoyed that I don't have the engine cover.

Some fool tried replacing the ball joint that is falling off of this thing with no luck, so instead of drilling it out, heating it, or easyouting, or all three, they opted to weld a nut back on said broken bolt and leave it. I just put on a new OEM wheel bearing in the left rear too.
