Car Insurance
Right now I have life and auto bundled and pay $100 a month for auto and $60 a month for life. Am I already getting a good deal or should I consider switching? Had one totaled car but other driver was declared at fault. |

$60 for life insurance? wholy crap...how big of a payout is that? i have several life insurance policies and the one i have through my car insurance company is for $150k and i only pay $6 a month. only reason i got it through them is b.c if i get it than my car insurance drops by $25.00 a month so i said why not...(actaully $31.00 but than im paying $6 for it.)
only thing you can do is shop around. the insurance company wont call you and say, "hey, since you are now 25, we're gonna drop your premium". they arent in the business of giving it away so you need to call and ask them to review your policy and than shop around.

So how much are you paying just for car insurance a month? I am not concerned about the life. Only reason I bundled life was because they said it would save me money. That is why I am trying to find out how much everyone is paying a month for car insurance. |

I don't understand why you are trying to compare your rates to another persons insurance. You need to get a bunch of FREE quotes and just take the one that offers the best coverage, the best service, the cheapest rate, or a combination of the above. When I turned 25, I did not get a price break other than good driver reduction in rates. I did however get a $20/month price break at 24 which was higher than the good driver reduction. Shop around for INS rates and go from there. The question that you are asking is too vague for any single one of us to directly answer. We don't know if you are getting a good rate. I have the same amount that my parents do in NJ on both of their vehicles. I could probably get cheaper. My miata had the same coverage amounts and was only 42$ for full coverage. I also got this when I was 20 so its been 3 years since i checked into my rate discounts

135.00 for full coverage on an 06 STi and liability on an 03 forester, Geico, 24 years old. Look into what discounts you qualify for if your company offers any. They give me I think 5 discounts which helps.

I pay $180 a month for full coverage on 2 cars...12 Camry and 04 Audi a4. It's also higher coverage as well...100k/100k. If I went with lower coverage it would be a lot cheaper. But I'm also 35 with no accidents or tickets on my record...and I'm married with a kid...which believe it or not makes a difference .

I'm at $92 for full coverage on my Jetta, and $30 for liability on my Talon. Progressive. 24yrs old. An accident 4 years ago, but I've regained a safe driver discount these days.

I policy jumped like $40 just moving to Delaware and I even lost glass coverage. If my window got a crack in it, I could just go get it replaced for free. I pay almost $140 for two vehicles one with full coverage. About to drop the one vehicle since it broke down and is going to cost more than what it's worth to fix, so I will be shopping it around to see what's out there rate wise.

I pay $77 full coverage with $250 deductible on Comprehensive, $500 on collision for my 2000 Porsche Boxster. Ever since I got my license almost 9 years ago, I have been switching back and forth between Progressive and Geico. Zero at fault accidents. Zero tickets. Address at NE Philadelphia.
