Del Sol bogging out...

ok got a 93 del sol si, with a d1.6 sohc vtec, and car runs great, but once its semi-warmed up i noticed it bogs a lot when i give it gas, especially in lower rpms, like 1k-2500 rpms, if i get off the gas or put the clutch in and get back on the gas, it usually stops, until i come to a stop again. it also seems to only happen in 1st and 2nd gear, so im kinda confused, does anyone have any ideas or help for me? id greatly appreciate it, thanks!

Maybe clogged EGR Valve?

Try unpluuging the egr valve on it, if you have one. IDK off top of my head if you got one.

If that dont work id look into the fueling system components, filter, pump, fuel pressure etc.

funny, i thought bogging was normal?....something called vtec?

lol seriously though check your air filter and fuel pressure...my old truck did something similar both when i had a real nasty air filter and once when the fuel pump was on its way out

I have never heard of a clogged map sensor.

I dont see how a map sensor can be clogged either, since the vacuum of the engine is always sucking.

O2 sensor being fouled, which cause for a CEL light.

Most common cause of boggin is due to egr ports being clogged.

Narrow band is a waste of time, just return it to the autozone.

lol, yeah, no CEL in the car, so i kinda already ruled out the o2 sensor, and yeah i have no idea where this narrowband came from, nor did i purchase it lol, came in one of my rx-7s i bought years ago. correct me if im wrong, i can remove the egr valve and clean it out and clean the ports out, right? or would i need to purchase a new egr valve? as you can tell im not too familiar with stuff like this.

You need to drill out the ports, depending on what model intake you have. To do this you need to remove the manifold.

Cleaning the ports out is a major pain in the ass.

What you can do is unplug the egr and just leave it. Of course it will throw a cel but there will be no boggin.

You can also get an egr block off plate for like 20 bucks. And I do believe that someone final figured out how to great a device that will trick the ecu into thinking that the egr is plugged in when its not, but that is still under going testing

most likely the fuel filter. My car has 79k and never had the fuel filter replaced and it bogs like asscrap lately. I just recharged the cone filter and plugs/wires are 10k mi old.
