No I was not able to find the pressure plate on it's own. It has to be bought as a kit with the clutch disk. I have the clutch disk listed on eBay. Going price is around $50 so I won't make much back.

Yes that was DIY price. $400 of that was the flywheel. You can buy a low mileage used one for under $100 but I didn't want to chance it. Single mass flywheel keeps the price down. Dealer quoted me $900 for install and New German Performance over in MD quoted me around $730. Not cheap but maintaining that OEM GTI feel was important to me.
