In all honesty, this grassroots bull**** is just one way of creating an elitist attitude. If I have a 500hp car it better damn well have traction control if I want it because if I am paying that much money for a new car it better not be spartan.

They aren't catering to you, the bottom end enthusiast that claims less is better. They are catering to the GT-R buying crowd that wants to be able to drive it when they want to and not have to worry about it being an uncontrollable animal in the snow if they want to use it there.

Hell, less is better for me too - i have no abs, ac, etc... but I at least realize that the target market isn't you. Its the older generation which doesn't mind a 500hp car in auto.
