And install a boost gauge first of all - seriously, it isn't that hard. If you can solder you can install a boost gauge.
When you buy it you get the gauge with wires out the back and vacuum line. You can either do 1 of two things when tapping into the car for power. Either solder it into a 12v constant line (like ignition) or do what lagos showed me how to do and run the wire into the fuse box and pin it down with a fuse. You get ease of use and the boost gauge is essentially fused at that point.
