I got it right away. I feel the cartoonist did a good job conveying your idea plus I like the drawing itself. There are 2 areas that I think do need work.

First, the hand in the foreground. Looks out of proportion/smaller than the hand holding the cars.

Second, the cars need work. The front (that is the front right?) of the Mk1 needs a bit more detail. The Mk2 is too warped. I get that he's squeezing the juice out of the cars but the front and wheels just look too deformed. Also the Mk2 and Mk3 fronts are so similar that its hard for people that don't really know the cars to tell them apart. Maybe having the lights up on the Mk2 will add a bit more to differentiate the cars.

Overall I like it. I like the character design and the little sparks of electricity look cool.

One last thing now that I look back before finishing the post. Tell the cartoonist to clean up the outline a bit. Looks very jagged around the arms.
