Kill switch and fuel pump relays are a good start, you aren't starting your car without them. Even the Crankshaft Position Sensor will kill fuel and spark if you can get to it. yet it is obvious you disconnected something. If I let my car sit i do many things to it before I return from vacation/deployment/etc. A well hidden ignition AND fuel cut switch is a good measure but as stated prior it won't prevent the old flatbed.
