During winter E85 becomes E60 which is less octane and if you're tuned for E85 you'll detonate. Reason being is in colder temperatures all that ethanol has trouble igniting correctly during startup and the amount you'd need to run to have it ignite would basically flood the engine.
So you have to watch that, otherwise it's just like any other gas out there.
