The beauty of recalls are that they are good for the life of the car. As for recall notices, it seems to be spotty. Some people are getting them, others are not.

I've had one get to 120 before the driver rode the brakes and got it down to about 80 when the system came back to life. They haven't issued a recall, but they have issued a TSB with updated software, you just have to ask for it.

I'm not sure if that's worse than Nissan, but seems pretty bad to me. If the car goes dead you can at least use the brakes. Random acceleration is just begging for an accident.
TSBs: An easy way to avoid a recall, and save face (somewhat).

Nissan had a similar issue with the floor mats causing the gas pedal to stick.

A few bas apples always ruin the bunch! The 2007 QR25's are supposed to be much better. Only time will tell. I really hope it is better because, IMO, it's a very versatile engine.
