The 09 (hopefully it will be the 2010) Corvette ZR1 will go perfectly in my friends old mans garage, where he has a 90 ZR1 and a 96 Grandsport, both with under 10 miles on the odometer. In the next bay over, the Ford GT and the GT500, both under 100 miles.
How's that for marketing? He never even considered buying the Z06, but he will no doubt be one of the first on the list for the ZR1.
THis isn't for the "tuner" market. This is a world class supercar, even more so than the C6 Z06, with rarity, uniqueness, and heritage. It's that simple. These cars won't have a problem selling at 100K, especially considering that the C4 ZR1's are still selling for close to 40k in good condition.

They'll most likely go over 100k easily, because of the rarity. I'm sure car collecters will love to get their hands on them, like your friends dad. At least he drives them somewhat, they're meant to be driven. I agree though, it shouldn't be towards the tuner market.. it really is a supercar that is absolutely mind blowing.
