Well if its a shared playlist thing it's usually picking up other's itunes accounts and letting you listen to it but not take it off of the computer with you. Kinda like how some of those free music companies work.
I have a very crazy idea for how you can get the music: find the person and ask to burn a cd/download to a USB stick. If they don't give it to you never talk to them again, if they do you have a new friend, hahaha. Although, I have been looking for ways to take it off the playlist since I have the same deal going on at school.
