The whole moving your finger along it and see if it catches made me laugh though...that idea is true on cars, because cars have a clearcoat, which can be buffed and polished out. TV's don't have clearcoats lmao, so polishing them isn't going to work.
This is the longer and more informative version of what I said, lol.

You can polish an Ipod because it has a protective plastic sreen that is getting sratched, not the LCD screen itself.

And yes, never use Windex on your LCD screens. Go to CC/BB/WWS etc and get some Monster screen cleaner with microfiber towels. You use them when the screen is cold, and you put a thin layer on and wash the screen, and then put another thin layer on and BUFF the screen. It's basically plastic wax for your TV.
