I don't want you to install it from an exe. I wanted to know if you got the actual files extracted into a folder, and instead of using the .exe file, go through device manager and click update driver or install driver on the unknown device, and point it to the (usually .inf) file.
Search the net for your model card, and maybe use a different set of drivers.

yea i went into DM and tried that last night, i tried alot of things that left me stumped. haha. im gonna switch the pci slot in a few see if that works. also i took it out before getting the drivers and went to the dlink site and made sure it was the right one for the drivers i selected and downloaded them. so its the correct drivers.
