Hey mike,
We were very fortunate in our area. We live 'down the bayou' on the west bank of the Mississippi River, ~30 miles south-west of N.O. Some trees down, light roof damage, but no water damage. That water is a bitch. I say this with some trepadation, but the poor folks on the gulf coast of Mississippi are, in a way, more fortunate than those affected in N.O. and the parishes to the east that still have standing water. On the coast, the water came and went and they can start rebuilding much quicker. N.O. will be undone for a long time to come. Some of the smaller towns and fishing villages east & south-east of N.O. are gone.
