RE: Tuesday Night Car Meets on the Mall Property

Dear Management,

I am writing this letter to ask your permission to use a pre designated area to hold a weekly Tuesday night car meet. We would like to hold a meet from 8pm-1030pm, and do it as a weekly event on Tuesday nights.

We at Tristatetuners are just a bunch of car enthusiasts looking to have a nice, calm, and relaxed meet spot with proper permission granted. It would be beneficial if you allowed us to meet there, because the area is well known to most of Delaware County, and is local to Penn State, DCCC, and other local colleges.

On Tuesday, 10/30, we held a meet between the McDolands and AMC. We were all well behaved until a driver that was not associated with us did a burnout in a different lot. When he pulled up, we promptly asked him to leave, and we let him know that behavior like that will get us kicked out.

We are all college students with limited funds, and just looking for a chance to relieve some stress during the week, and meet together with some close friends and just hang out and catch up. We try to have a good time and we always do our best to respect the property, and stay well out of the way of customers and other mall shoppers.

I talked to the security director, and he was very helpful with trying to guide us in the right path. He recommended we ask for the abandoned Chi Chi's parking lot, on the side of 352. It is still part of the mall, so it still makes it easy for everyone to find, and it is more out of the way than the first spot we had between McDonald’s and the Movie Theatre.

Lastly, if we as a group see someone acting up or going against the rules, we can calmy contact mall security and have that person escorted from the meet.
