More ignition timing is 20 btdc, less timing is 10 btdc.

Like I said, ignition timing is based off of load. When you say you are putting the car under a huge load, how are you doing it? Lets take a 500whp Supra on pump gas for example. At idle ignition timing will be around 11-15*. At peak torque when VE is highest, the timing will be around 8* and only slightly ramp up to redline. That same motor tuned to 400whp will still idle at 11-15*, but now take around 11-12* of timing at peak torque.

Piston and rotary engines still have the same tendencies when it comes to ignition timing.
