5'9", 175, 315#'s, 2 lift max (we ARE talking about a barbell bench flat/free weight, right? if it's one of those stupid machines, who the hell cares). I just tried it today, didn't go higher because I had no spot. Otherwise, I think "max weights" are stupid.

narrow grip is the same as wide grip for me also, some people excel at one or the other. Also, not that it matters much, but I tore my pec all of the way back in high school, a little over 4 years ago trying for max bench and just started doing bench again 4 months ago. It's really not worth it to strain yourself trying for max!!
