Yeah, nothing is making sense. It says they were supposed to be decommissioned. If that was the case than can't they bring the qualified personnel to the weapons rather than transporting a WMD to the people, I would hope the military has more common sense than that.
They also said they were loaded onto the wings. If they were in the bomb bay I might understand them being over looked but on the wings I can't buy it. I am just learning about being a pilot but one thing I have learned is that weight plays a key role in the amount of fuel loaded into the aircraft for the flight. Any responsible pilot would say hey, these 6 nuclear cruise missiles on my wings are going to require more fuel for the flight as they are adding weight and drag. Would nobody ask, what do you mean the 6 nuclear weapons on your wings?
