I shouldve done this a long time ago:

I've been running an exedy stock replacement clutch for 14K miles.

12K of those miles were under 7 psi of boost.

it started slipping soon after boost but i was holding off as long as possible on replacing it....finally after barely being able to boost on the highway anymore i started a clutch search.

i found a good deal on a Spec Stage III from a probetalk member and as it's in the mail i started my tear down.

i started last night and got this far: All Turbo pieces removed beacuse they were in the way. this took two hours by myself, taking my time

im extremeeeeely organized when i work on my cars, i just cant do it if im not

Today, after two more hours of work the trans was out...and here's what 12K miles of boost does to a stock clutch

thats the original 183K mile flywheel.

Trans out, clutch out. still insanely organized

hopefully it all goes back together smoothly next week when some parts get here and i get to the track on friday and better that 13.5...(the clutch slipped badly on the run)

enjoy.
