How about brakes, are they the same too?
Also, the Escort used Mazda engine, tranny, etc, etc...not the other way around.
And for your refernce, the earlier (early 90's) Proteges/Escorts were identical platforms. The BJ platform is different from them, and there is no "escort" for them to be identical to, no? Please correct me if I am wrong.
