Police raided two spas Tuesday in Chester County that neighbors fear are houses of prostitution.

State police and local authorities said in a press release that they conducted joint raids at two locations.

Arrested there on charges of prostitution and related charges of criminal solicitation were: Gui Hua Fang, 32; Mei Hua Piao, 32; and Lian Hua Jin, 39.

At Sun Acupressure on North Pottstown Pike in Uwchlan Township, police said they arrested Hak Im Pak, 49.

Witnesses said officers also took men into custody as they arrived to go to the spa.

Police said they were investigating whether sexual acts were taking place in the business.

People who work next door said they never saw any women go into the spa.

"There's a lot of men going in and out of there everyday. It could only be for one thing. I think some shady things were going on in there," said Debra Evans, who worked next door.

"It's just odd to see at 2 o'clock in the morning customers getting out of their cars for a massage," said another worker nearby.
