Well I know first hand that if she is truly bi - polar it is impossible to control that without medication. It will be a difficult road for you and you will be dealing with many levels of frustration. And the worst is you will start to think it is your fault when most of the time it is due to her illness. You can be supportive and try and be there but she should be medicated and in some sort of counseling. As Sandy said you will eventually want off the roller coaster and my end up doubting who you are and start taking away good qualities that you may posses.
