unfortunately yea they can, my moms a financial advisor and i just gave her a call. she said since your driving record still shows a little bit of problems then if they want they can ask for the full premium so it almost forces you to stay away from accidents. they can even kick you off of their insurance if they wanted to. she recommended either calling them and seeing if you can talk to them about changing it back to monthly because you can't afford it or changing insurance companies. I've got High Point but ive heard progressive (done all online so no waiting for the bill) is pretty good for our generation. hope this helps and i hope everything goes well for you.
