I was walking in to the movie theater last night, when I was approached by Lt. Ricks or something (I don't remember exactly). I shook his hand and he started talking to me about my life, and where I was going, if I was happy with it, etc. etc. etc. I told him that I was happy with the way things were going and that I enjoyed my job. He asked my career, I answered, and he said, "Oh, I just happen to be an electrician in the Marines." He wouldn't stop telling me that I should do something else with my life and join the Marines. I'm all for the gov't trying to recruit, but has it really come down to these horrible tactics? I mean, I was standing there with my girlfriend and he wouldn't stop telling me to join. It basically came down to me, TRYING not to be rude, and I said thanks for your service as I was walking away, and he was practically screaming at me to join the Marines (from a good 30feet away).

It was odd. And also, a lot of the members on the other site (who are currently enlisted) posted to just tell him that I'm gay, or something about a boyfriend (as stated above). If that gets them to stop screaming at me, sounds like a plan!
