I recieved a ticket while on the Sonic Run for a windshield obstruction.

Here is the story.

The officer stopped everyon on the Cruise and had nothing on me at all. I was not speeding, nor racing, simply doing the speed limit.

She took my license and told me to wait on the side of the road.

While I waited, everyone on the cruise left because they were allowed to go. She ran my license, never took registration or insurance.

Since I was left alone on the side of the highway I decided to put up my GPS to figure out where I was going since I did not know where I was at.

She walks up to my car 15 min later and tells me that there was no witness left so she could not give me a ticket anymore, but then she looks at the window and sees my GPS on the windshield. She informs me that I would recieve a ticket in the mail when she files it and then tells me to go?

Is there anything I can do? How can she write me a ticket for an obstruction when it wasn't even there when she instructed me to pull over, and was not there when I pulled away.

The ticket states "Def. did operate the above vehicle with an obstruction mounted under the rearview mirror on the front windshield"

But none of that is true at all. She cannot prove that it was there when I was driving, but I cannot prove that it wasn't.

I would not be upset if I simply had to pay the $25 fine, but its $25 fine, $37.50 costs, and $50.00 other. What gives here? What are the costs and other?

Total - $112.50

Seems a little excessive for not doing anything illegal?
