composite is the way to go if you dont have HD.

something else to consider is having your standard def TV calibrated, meaning the correct settings for the sharpness, picture, color, white balance. When its all set up right it looks even better....

they sell DVDs that have calibration systems on there where they will put up color charts so you can set your colors to match right.
