i didnt say it was a worse idea. i said it was a horrible idea. that would be a band-aid at best. how long do you think the heat wrap would stand up to that abuse? its false security. if youve got to do it twice might as well do it right. heating up the header and bending it with a pry bar, on the car...., was a pretty bad idea too. thats a good way to crack exhaust flanges, oil pans....(ahem), make other parts of the exhaust not line up propperly causing leaks, etc etc.
