Thats basically saying that you understand the context and tone of a sentence that someone says to you in English and it communicates perfectly, but that Portugeuse is an inferior language. In reality it is that you're a Portuguese n00b and you aren't able to properly receive the message that is being sent.
I would guess that a WRX owner might have similar comments if they were to drive your car, or anyone in a new car for that matter.

Hmmmmm, but how come I can hop in a completely different model saab and that feels right? I guess I just speak saab. I really would like you to drive my car some time, I'm curious what someone who has no knowledge of saabs would think.
