I think this is more a case of you being very used to your car and comparing it to something that is new to you. By nature, we are resistant to change, and you're comparing the 'feel' and 'feedback' of a car you've owned for years to one you sat in for the first time yesterday.
Thats basically saying that you understand the context and tone of a sentence that someone says to you in English and it communicates perfectly, but that Portugeuse is an inferior language. In reality it is that you're a Portuguese n00b and you aren't able to properly receive the message that is being sent.
I would guess that a WRX owner might have similar comments if they were to drive your car, or anyone in a new car for that matter.
