go to automotive school. a friend of mine went for that and is now working for audi in their R&D facility. he gets to help design and test audi's we may never see and could probably never afford.
theres so much more you can go to school for, car wise, besides just being a mechanic in a standard sense.
I dont think anyones parents would unapprove of their kid working for BMW or Lexus and not at a dealership garage but in the actual facilities
