Well today started great. Went to class, aced my final, then went home. Fixed my timing, fixed my coolant issues, got my car running amazingly...still didnt hit boost.
Filled up with gas and parked her at my house. Went to school and took the second final....meh.
Came home and went to autozone! I know some of you are thinking OMG why would he goto autozone after his last experience...he is just asking for trouble. Well i go in for some hose clamps, my IC piping clamp committed suicide. I notice that a good worker is on today so i figure Id test my luck. I tell him I need a front axle and an o2 sensor. He asks no questions and tells me he can have them here tomorow. He puts in the order and starts talking about cars. He has a 90 dodge daytona that needs some work but is still very nice. He rings me up a free roll of those awesome towels and some uber strong hand cleaner (my hands were quite dirty). On top of that he gave me a 15 dollar discount because I come in so much. I am happy to say that finding the right people to ask the questions results in happiness. lol
So i fix my IC piping, do a little tuning, rig my o2 sensor. And take off. 7psi feels like gheyness so I pull over and turn my special knob. Get back in a tune a little more. 13psi is more like it! car pulls so cleanly now with the new headgaskets in, there are no hiccups, no overheating, just lots of power. A charger tried to act tough and take off next to me. I wait till he is about 3 cars ahead then put him to shame.
On the way home i find an STI limited. yummmm. We roll from a light and are even, only went to the top of second gear.
Cliffnotes: good workers at autozone rule.
new headgaskets rule.
really light cars rule.
oh and boost really rules
