ok so heres the story.. me and my friend get off work and decide to drive to ginos. we leave at around 1230-1 and get off around the airport (i dont know how to get there, i was getting directions from him).. we pull into the first gas station to get gas because i was below a 1/4 tank when all of a sudden a cop pulls in and all the lights shut off at the gas station.. i see him make people who were fixing there civic leave soo i just drive out. he follows me for about 10 minutes or so it felt, and then finally pulls me over.. when we pull over he makes me roll all of my windows down (they are not even tinted) and keep them down throughout the stop (keep in mind it was like 20º).. we sit for about a good 15minutes.. he finally comes back with 2 citations.. one for my exhaust??? it a stock downpipe, stock cat, with a apexi n1 muffler that is not even loud.. mustang cobras are louder out of the showroom then my exhaust.. that ticket ended up being $85. the other one was "participated in drag racing in known location".. i drove from 95 to the gas station.. he pulled in, i pulled out. and he then pulled me over.. how is that participating in street racing? at the bottom he even lied and wrote "observed drag racing".. OBSERVED??? i didnt go above 40 the whole way! wtf? that ticket is $291 with 6month suspension unless i fight it.. the cop even lied to me saying that my friend amber is down here.. she called us and told us you were racing here.. first off i dont know an amber, second why would she call...

so basically the exhaust is gonna be a tough one to win i think but i'll try.. im gonna take it to a shop and see what they say, possibly see if they can write a written statement saying its legal and is not to loud. and see if that helps..

the whole participating.. im not sure what to do.. its my word against a cops.. i have a lawyer but still it will be hard...

soo basically if you have a car with an exhaust.. after the hours of 11 on the weekends in around the airport.. you can get pulled over for street racing regardless of what your doing.. even if you are getting gas.
