wheel speed sensors, the abs runs off of them.
i dont think its that. i think he either needs new rotors (shaved down so much the piston is fully expanded during lockup, it causes it to retract in so it doesnt leak fluid or get stuck sideways (seen it happen)) or his pads or too low, or a combo of both of those things. or maybe it was a really wet road with leaves.
take a micrometer and measure the diamater of the rotor, its real easy.the stock specs for your car are .83 in (21 mm) rotor thickness.
