A little lag, yes. HOWEVER, the powerband feels similar to that of the M3's (in my world terms). The M's have a bit more mid range, but hardly anything that stands out. I'm sure I could post dyno graphs, which I will do later to actually incorporate FACTS in to your jibberish.

This is a First year car and it has a large amount of problems. 2 335i's in my area have Blown up under 1000 miles. My cousins 335i has blown up with 250 Miles. So i know of 3 already. My girl friends E90 325i. 3000 Miles engine blown. << I know its not the same engine. My e90 330 massive electrical issues with 30K miles. Dont buy a first year car.

I agree about the first year car thing, however, I'd like to see proof that all of these cars that you personally know are "blowing up".

The power band with an S54 engine is a bit better, i dont need to go over 3-4K and it gets up and goes. A little less annoying with the N/a than dealing with the 1-2.5K lag in the 335.

A BIT BETTER. Hardly much of a difference. I agree it's a BIT BETTER, but nothing that would bother me.

So back to the point. The 335i turbo engine is tuned to the max. Do you think BMW would build a car that with a few mods you are getting More HP. This puts the new M3 sales in jeopardy.
|
The old M3's are outdated. Sorry, it's just how it happened. The new M3 will be MUCH BETTER and superior though if it makes you feel better. As to "tuned to the max", proof???? I highly doubt you could present that.

Since now the smart car shopper can pick up a well optioned 335i coupe for under 43K. the new M3 will have a base price of 52,900.00 Plus Options you will be over 60K. Its common sense. Just wait and see how many people will have problems when they change something and blow up their 335's.

uhhhhhh, HATER

and your wrong on modding BMW's its expensive as hell to mod any BMW. you can supercharge an M3 and beat on 996 turbos all day long.
|
Most ANYTHING that comes stock with a poweradder is going to be cheaper to mod. You DID just mention having to buy a blower for the M3, RIGHT????

If i were buying a car Greg, I wouldnt buy from you. Learn your ****. How long have you been selling BMW's?

Wow, and you seem real knowledgeable
ALL I KNOW is that I sure am glad that there are plenty of M owners to make up for your shortcomings.
