In FFXI unless you were a certain class w/ a specfic secondary class, with specific weapons you were ignored for group hunts.
In WoW, you can be anything, and use any weapon, and have any professions, and you were eligable and people would hunt w/ you. The profession system is more fun, the making of items, skinning, fishing, cooking, etc, is all a lot more fun. The experience was just a lot better.

Sorry for the double post, but I just want to throw my 2 cents in here.
1. Eh, all depends on who you surround yourself with. I like having it more serious but all their own. I can definitely see how some of the dumbass elitists in XI like to show off.
2. Not really true, its all a matter of how parties are structures. I went to XP as a Nin/Drk before and I outparsed a War/Nin... Of course if he had ridill... I would have been ****ed. If you are talking about retarded combinations like PLD/DRG... of course you aren't going to get invited. It's like having a rogue spec for fire damage O_o
3. In XI you can have all crafts leveled to 60, you aren't restricted to a certain character to be 1 job only. If you have a character in XI you can switch between classes at will and level stuff up again while maintaining any bonus's you might have gotten on that character, you don't need a seperate character for different classes.
