guys, this is not a pc vs. mac debate so please do a little self moderating here and make sure you dont fall into that trap.
i personally would recommend against lacie at this point... they have a great reputation in general and that is the reason i was using their displays, but now the 2nd one in 2.5 years has failed on me and this time around they are denying any warranty coverage on it. its very likely that this is not common and i just got unlucky but i am incredibly unhappy with the situation regardless, and how they have handled it.
i told them if that if they are now zero for two with me, and if they werent willing to back their product for me and fix my display under warranty then the next ~40 years that i am in the industry i wont be spending a dime on their products. i havent heard back, and as a result will be spending my money with other competent brands in the future.
