I bought this from a family mechanic. He's now looking for a level 4-5 to replace it. He gave me a few bits of info
Regen braking means most people get 100,000mi out of brakes, some as far as 200,000.
No starter motor
No alternator
Electric AC and steering so no accessory belts
10,000mi oil changes and Blackstone has reported that there's little contamination at that point
Trans fluid, coolant, and inverter coolant called for at 100,000 miles, he said not to bother until 200,000.
Timing chain (no belt) and electric water pump
Said he knows dealers in NYC that buy them for cabs and they have 300,000+ with original HV batteries
From a tech standpoint the car is pretty complex with how the CVT and hybrid system work, but maintenance wise it's stupid simple.
In my 97 civic ex I was getting some nice mileage too, averaged 39 with a roof rack on going to Toronto from Philly, but it's nice to get even better mileage out of a much newer, quieter, heavier (and much more stable on highway) car with way more gizmos in it.
The civic was going to need a clutch, balljoints, and possibly tie rods (for the third time) soonand I just didn't want to sink another $1000 into it.
